In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in Glendale; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in California are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 11 am–9:30 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (818) 551-5561. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, dtf.com.

Came here for a family dinner with my nieces and sisters and we enjoyed everything!! Ted was our server and he was very attentive and nice! But my favorite had to be the chicken xiao long bao!! Had to order some to go because of how good they were. Can’t wait to come back to LA to enjoy these. Also order the red bean buns!!

My husband I decided to go shopping at the Glendale Galleria. Arriving into the mall we got hungry and came across Din Tai Fung restaurant. We asked if there was any bar seating, which is our favorite place to sit and have some food. They sat us down instantly so we didn't wait long. The atmosphere was great. At the bar it was vibing and busy. The server/ bar tender was super inviting and explained in detail how to place our food order. The food was really delicious and the drinks were good too.

We tried the viral tiktok chocolate buns! They’re served with a side of sea salt cream, and honestly, I thought they might be a little overrated—especially since I’m not a big dessert person. But the salty cream balanced out the sweetness perfectly, and it made such a difference. I ended up loving them!! Follow me on instagram for more recommendations @foodiebynur

Amazing first experience. The food was delicious just as expected. Our server Brian really made the difference, he went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. The dessert (chocolate dumplings w/ sea salt foam) was probably my favorite!
